Maintenance Unit
The Maintenance Unit focuses on daily care and upkeep of the environment inside
and outside of the Clubhouse, the same as a person would practice in their own home
to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Member cleaning
Tasks in this Unit range from laundering kitchen towels, vacuuming, floor and window
cleaning, taking out the trash, and changing light bulbs. Other indoor activities
include maintenance, assembly, and repair of Clubhouse equipment and furniture.
Attention is centered on the use of members’ former skill sets and development of
new skills. Outside of the building members keep the areas clean of debris, fill
the bird feeders, and in the winter months shovel snow and salt the walk ways. Members
use a checklist of tasks to be completed as well as keep inventory of items in stock.
