Lloyd: "Friendship and coffee, too; all these people; place to go due to
loss of job".
Jerry: "Coming here brings out our innermost self, the person we were meant
to be before this all happened; a place to gather together".
Mitchell: "You people who help here are angels in disguise; we can come and
be us and interact with others like us but in a safe way; coming here I receive
a gift; teaches us how to live a better life and understand the feelings of others;
can interact with people of different color and get along with them; before brain
injury I was angry and lonely; if my family lets me oversleep and miss my ride they
got problems on their hands!; they need to make this five days a week".
Melissa: "A second home for all of us, welcoming hands to help everyone;
you’re not really alive until getting your capabilities back, they help us here—that’s
saving a life".
Barry: "Gets me out of my place, makes me want to go; [I was] depressed sitting
and doing nothing at home, just TV and stereo there".

Solomon: "A sense of family; community; coming here and helping out and showing
you can do stuff; can go home and then be able to handle things better; knowing
we are not alone; others know what you are going through".
Marc: "Stability and structure in everyday life; working on your goals; getting
out of the nursing home".
Jack: "I just like to come, get out of the house and go; I like people".
